Discovering Me

Me on having babies, losing babies, trying to have babies and hoping to bring this one home.

Threaten me with a good time.

I have my pre-op appointment at the hospital today. So, I'm being a good girl and filling out forms. No biggie 'til I get to question three:

Is there a possibility that you might be pregnant...yes or no?

Followed by:

A "yes" answer will result in a pregnancy test.

Are you people serious? I mean, you could do the blood test, but I could save us all the trouble...

We'll see how far they actually take that little gem.

PS. I'm doing laundry. Of baby clothes. New clothes that I actually took the tags off of. Proud of me?

Oh my! How has so much time slipped by so fast? Well done on getting those clothes ready and have a good appointment. I do hope they don't force you to pee on a stick. At this stage in the game that can get messy;) (And yes, I had to pee on a non-hpt stick at 36 weeks and it was a debacle!)

That is HILARIOUS! Apparently the forms are just generic surgery forms not specific to OB? At least, I HOPE that's the case. LOL!

I AM proud of you! Taking the tags off and washing the clothes is a big deal! Congrats on taking that step!

And Jill...I'm betting Michelle ain't thinking time has "slipped by so fast." :o)

That was such a stupid question I didn't quite understand what it meant for a few reads of the post. Yeah, must not be generic for a delivery. I'm so proud of you for doing the tags and laundry. I've cut tags, but I'm dragging my heels on the laundry. To be honest, I'm sorta dreading the smell of Dreft. I'm afraid it will take me back to laundering Jimmy's clothes. But I can do it and I will. Girl, I'm so proud of you. I hate to ask if you've already answered... which I'm sure you have, when is the big day?

    Definitely proud of you!

And the ironic thing (and correct me if I am wrong!!) is that I have heard that urine tests can come back negative at this point in the pregnancy, because after a certain point, your hcg starts dropping, or something levels off, and can cause a negative result (often discovered by those who wander into the hospital in labor who didn't know they were pregnant, which, whatever)...so that would be even more interesting if they insisted on testing you!

Hope you were able to enjoy the tiny laundry!

I know I have pretty much disappeared from blogland but I am thinking of you as the big day approaches. And don't worry about calling Natalie Audrey. I did the same thing before Joe was born, kept calling him Thomas, and continued for a few weeks afterward but then he just became Joe all the time! And Natalie will too. Lots of love to you. xoxoxo
