Eight

I guess I had the process wrong. I thought they would thaw our embryos two at a time until we had two viable ones.

Turns out they thawed all eight.

All eight survived. We'll get as many as we can to blasts and transfer two and freeze whatever might be left.

For some reason I thought they were like frozen meat. Once it's been thawed, you can't freeze it again. I guess that was retarded of me (yeah, I am serious. I'm a tard. I can't believe that made sense to me.)

So eight. Eight alive so far. Blood levels were good today. My ass is already sore from the progesterone injections.

Next update, tomorrow.

That is what I would have thought too - that you couldn't refreeze them again.

Good luck with the continuing cycle.

That's not retarded, it makes total sense considering they haven't fully figured out cryogenics for full sized people yet either. GOOD LUCK!!!

I am with everyone else; I thought you couldn't refreeze embyros, and I went through the IVF process! I also thought they only thawed a few at a time. Geez! MAybe I'm the tard!

Glad that everything is going along the way it should. I am saying prayers and sending positive thoughts your way. Just think, a month from now you could be having an ultrasound to see your baby, not just some follicles!!!

I'm with everyone else...doesn't make much sense to me from a scientific angle, since why would you want to subject them to one more freeze/thaw cycle? However, seems like you've got some good ones there for them all to make it!

    Good luck on the transfer!

That's great news! And I can see why you might have thought that. In my case, at least, they did thaw them one-at-a-time while I was laying and waiting for the transfer.

I continue to keep it all crossed for you!
